i ran into a post today playing ultimate. i don't know why anyone would have put a soccer goal on a field made for frisbee (especially in europe...), and what kind of friends i have that throw leading passes toward them. but as they say, c'est la vie.
i had the idea coming into this whole abroad experience that it would be hard, and that i would feel out of place here, a little lost, a little lonely. in my mind, the point was that i would end up being better off for it, that i would grow somehow. what can be discouraging is not knowing what i'm gaining, or not feeling like i'm gaining anything. it makes me feel a lack of direction i don't like. i guess you can't feel lost and, well, not lost, at the same time.
well, speaking of getting lost, i'm heading to italy in about 24 hours and i need to get my life together. so i'm gonna run but thanks for reading and have a nice day.

I have felt the same way, being here in Quebec this whole time. I need to get out, I need to LIVE
